BRAVESTROM is was put
under saddle in the fall of 2010.
STROM completed in his first Bronze Dressage show on
December 4, 2010 receivng 2 first places with scores of 66 and 64 -
receiving Champion of the Division.
PROSPECT'S BRAVESTROM displays an
exceptional attitude as a 4 year old gelding. His calm, sensible
attitude and confidence in any situation together with his spectacular
presence, substance and gaits are sure to develop and prove him to be an
outstanding dressage prospect. Very uphill confirmation.

Bravestrom - March 15, 2012
At the beginning of 2012 Bravestrom was
progressing at Level 1 and attended the May Bluestar Bronze show debuting at
Level 1. After a very exciting romp around the parking lot (escaped
bridling) he entered the ring with 2 minutes of warmup to show impressive
gaits and complete his first Level 1 test with a score of
Second Test - Level 1,
Test 2 - settled down after a more relaxed warm up - 59% - 5th place and got
an 8 for our extended trot.
A more relaxed horse
More settled in the extension
The End - Whew - I made it.
A very muddy day at The Cornerstone
Gold Dressage Show - June 1, 2012 - Palgrave. Bravestrom did his first
gold Level 1 test - scoring 63.3 %. It was so muddy and raining pretty
hard - no pics of in the ring but one
of all smiles after the test. Too wet and muddy to do our second test.
Currenty Bravestrom is training at Level 2/3
with the goal of debuting Level 3 in 2013.
October, 2012 Prospect's Bravestrom did his first
Level 2 Tests today at RCRA scoring 57 and 55 - we had 5 - 7's in one test
and 4 - 7's in another - a couple bobbles but all in all he was fantastic
for a 5 yr old just starting the level

September 10, 2013 -
Bravestrom wore a double bridle for the first time - in prep for Level 3
next year and is starting to get his flying changes pretty regularly now.
After our lesson we enjoyed a hack in the double.
Prospect's Bravestrom and Maureen Hall
had a great off property schooling on October 6, 2013. He was great for every second from
the minute we left home to the minute we came home again. He was absolutely
incredible in the lesson, enjoyed seeing Rayya and Bailey and was such a well
behaved fellow in a strange barn. Collection and straightness along with working
in a double bridle are really coming together in his training.
November 23/24 Prospect's
Bravestrom at Esther Mortimer Clinic -the first day of the Clinic saw
Bravestrom starting to show his talent at the current level 3 training
with glimpses of PSG ability. Day 2 of the Esther Mortimer clinic at
Killarney Hill - Strom was a little up from being inside for two days but we
had some awesome moments and worked on Level 3 test sections. Some fantastic
lateral work showed off his young talent. To say our flying change and
extended canter was exuberant would be a bit of an understatement.
May 18, 2014 I am so proud of Bravestrom - 2 days of
a Lee Tubman clinic and he was fantastic - worked on elements to improve our
flying changes and it really did work - flying changes on cue with balance in
the canter before and after. I am so excited to show at Palgrave in 3 weeks.
Level 3 Debut at Cornerstone Gold
Dressage Show at Caledon Equestrian Park - June 7, 2014 - Bravestrom and I had a
great day at the Spring Dressage show. He was really great. We had great flying
changes in the warmup but blew some of them in the tests. But this was our first
time at level 3- we got some 6's, some 6.5's in our first testand we were one of
the few AA's showing at Level 3. Very happy with my homebred 7 yr old. Lots of
room for improvement. Our Test 2 saw some 7's along with some mistakes but
still pleased. We scored 54 and 53 -not bad for the first time at this
level and at a Gold Show. He was relaxed the whole day. A big
thank you to Stephen Hall for all his help and fantastic pictures.
August 29, 2014 - Kawartha Lakes
Dressage Gold Show -We had our last Gold show of the season on Friday - with
some of the toughest judges known to man. This was our third show at Level 3 -
Strom was a good boy, we had definite progress in our work, especially our
extended canter - we got a 7 for that - he was very exuberant and I wasn't sure
I could get him back. We had great changes in the warmup - he stole one in the
ring, a couple were late-but at least he didn't steal them and we got one -
Yeah!!! His extensions were good and we got some 7's on both tests. Last Gold
show for us for the season - now we will work hard to rock level 3 next year. We
are getting really nice controlled changes at home and we also got a 7 for our
shoulder in. It's a bit of a balancing act for me still with the half halts in
the canter - too much and not enough leg and he will trot, not enough half halt
and he steals the changes because he knows they are coming. Placed 4th and

November 15, 2014 - Prospect's
Bravestrom at the Tom Dvorak clinic at Dreamcatcher Equestrian.
Worked on refining the collected 3rd level canter, collected trot, collected
walk and trot lateral work. Improving the straightness in the
collected canter was a focus as well.
December 20, 2014 - What a great
session with Strom today with Melanie. Worked on a lot of canter lateral work.
He is sitting and working so nicely. I had to remember my left and right as well
as follow some really quick instructions. Shoulder in to Travers to volte to
half volte to shoulder in to travers and changes of directions really quickly.
You couldn't wipe the smile off my face.
June 14, 2015 - This was our first time
showing this year and after last year’s intro into third level, felt that there
was a vast improvement, especially in the first test where – for the first time
we got both our changes in the correct place. Almost cracked 60 with a score
over 58 (last year our scores were in the very low 50s) with some 7s in there.
Broke stride on our canter volte both times and activity needs to increase a bit
more but I was very happy with test 3-1. For our second test, I messed up the
timing as I thought there were still delays because of an incident early in the
day – so we were a bit rushed through our warm up. Notwithstanding that – we got
few 7’s but still struggled with our canter half pass to flying change including
an unplanned leap in the air – that resulted in a 2 for that movement. Even with
that we scored over 56%. If we could nail the hp to fc both ways we would
definitely crack 60.
Bravestrom and I featured under third level
training on Dressage today.
August 28/29 2015 - Cornerstone Summer Dressage Show
Bravestrom showed Third Level Test 1 on Friday and we
were back again on Saturday for Test 2. Friday was a great day.
Strom was relaxed and very light - the best he has ever been as far as
listening to me and being soft and rideable. I was so proud of him.
For the first time Flying Changes were under control and we received some
7's and a score of 57% - placing 6th out of 10. On
Saturday the dominant Strom was more evident and it was a bit of a tougher
test. Controlling the changes is still challenging and an unexpected
extra change own the centre line at the end of the test proved to affect our
score but we still finished with 53% and 7th place.
November 8, 2015 - Bravestrom also attended
the Tom Dvorak clinic - we did two days - the first day consisting mostly of
reviewing how through and strong Strom is and how well he does all that is
required for a third/fourth Level dressage horse. His strength for
collection work and response to the aids are amazing. Some flying
changes and lots of lateral work were easily demonstrated at the level
required. Our second day consisted of exercises designed to
improve our flying changes and lateral work in preparation for showing
Fourth Level in 2016. I can not express how thrilled I was with
how advanced he is and am so excited for our future.

June 4, 2016 - So proud of Prospect's
Bravestrom this weekend at the Cornerstone Spring Gold Dressage show. It was our
debut at 4th level and the first day we were a bit conservative and finished
with a 53. Day two saw a great improvement and other than a rider error (oops
forgot the canter pirouette), a bit of a struggle with the canter pirouettes -
which we just started working on and a miscount on the 4 tempi line we had the
best ride ever - we got 8 - 7's on our 4-2 test - finishing with 56%. Not too
shabby for a homebred 9 yr old - the first time at fourth and his plus size
owner. So pleased with the changes and how light and obedient he was. I have to
thank my son for the great pictures of our whole test. So many great pictures it
was hard to choose.
August 26-27 - 2016 I am
thrilled to report that Prospect’s Bravestom, my 9 yr old homebred Gelding by
Braveheart (Swedish WB) out of Prospect’s Atheana (CSHA) and I have completed
our first Dressage show at the Prix St. Georges Level at the Summer Classic Gold
Dressage Show at the Caledon Horse Park on August 26-28, 2016.
Our first Prix St. Georges Test at the
Cornerstone Summer Dressage Classic was a huge accomplishment for Bravestrom and
I. We did our first 4th level tests in June and then worked very hard over the
summer in order to go down the centre line in PSG at this this show. Our goal
was to at least get 50% and we got 52.5% - Woohoo. The biggest steps for us
going to this level are the canter pirouettes and the tempi changes. While these
still need a lot of work (no surprise there), I was very pleased to receive a 7
for our extended canter. The test didn't start well with a spin at the halt -
courtesy of the shad tails but we recovered and I remembered the whole test
(almost forgot the salute at the end).
Day 2 and our second run through the
PSG Test. Our coach gave us a very strenuous warm up and we felt right on the
ball as we entered the ring. While the canter pirouettes and our tempi lines
still proved to be the sticking points of our test, the rest of the test went
very smoothly and I felt that that Strom and I really hit our grove through most
of it - getting our changes on request where I wanted them. Our scores were 56
at C and 54 at B, a substantial improvement from the previous day for a final
score of 54.8. Two 7's from both judges. All of our hard work over the last two
months made a real turning point for us and I really felt it while riding this
test. It was the best ride we have ever had. Love my Dancing Pony.
November 19/20 2016 - Strom attended a 2 day Tom
Dvorak clinic. He was very pleased with the improvement in both since last
